Ways Out Of Marital Incompatibility 3

Every problem has a solution to it. Do you think of a problem that looks strange? That is good. Know well that a strange problem will be confronted and conquered with a strange solution. That is just the truth.

 

Incompatibility has destroyed many potential happy homes owing to inexperience and/ or ignorance of people involved in a martial relationship. I pray that this write-up and those before it as well as others that will follow shall be of great and meaningful value to you and your marriage in Jesus name.

 

Sequential approach to Incompatibility, what is this? Let me illustrated this with what transpired between two persons in a marriage a few decades ago.

 

As a newly formed family members, husband and wife, they agreed to sleep together in the same room and on the same bed. Do you say "it is normal?" Yes, you are right. But a stranger came in to scuttle the normal arrangement. Incompatibility was it.

 

How?

 

Both wanted to go to bed at the same time. The light was on but the man told his wife to put off the light because the light will prevent him from sleeping. However, the wife said she will not sleep except the light is on. Fears will grip her heart without it. This generated a very hot argument that almost ruin the new marriage. This went on for days and weeks.

 

Glory be to God who made their Pastor available to solve it, How did it happen and what did he do or say?

 

As the argument ensured, one morning, the minister of God came in only to see bitterness on their faces.

 

"What happened that your faces are covered with bitterness? Did you not have a sound sleep because your looks demonstrate this too.m

Beginning with the man in the home, he narrated what the bone of contention has been since the day they were joined together.

 

There was only anger that sprung from the heart of their Pastor. He retorted, "Why have you been harbouring a needless animosity against each other since these days? You ought to have discussed it amblicably with the aim of finding a solution or let me know about it. Don't you know that you welfare is my concern?

 

Then the man of God suggested,
"You have no problem at all but you are creating one for yourself from a none-issue. Let whoever wants to sleep early do so before the other and act right. What do I mean? If the husband wants to sleep, first, he can come in to switch off the light and the wife can switch it on to drive fears away and find a sound sleep."

 

At that point, as it was their custom, and as their spiritual father the husband prostrated as the wife knelt down to show their appreciation. That put an end to the whole mess.

 

In addition to their Pastor's suggestion, do you know that there are other ways to handle it if both seek the face of the Lord?

 

For example, either of them, particularly the husband can buy a bulb that is not bright as such. If it a little bit dull, it can serve them both. A green or blue small bulb with about sixty or less watt can be a sure solution to their problem.

 

My beloved reader, let me tell you here if you have not heard it before or remind you if you have, that marriage is HARD WORK. To have a happy home calls for serious diligence. Marriage calls for this and wisdom to do the work successfully

 

Do you desire and plan to have a happy and stable home? Go ahead to have it, if you are ready to work hard at it.

 

Never allow Incompatibility to dethrone you and achievable desires. Knock it down and out of your home. Your home will at last be a good pattern for others to follow in Jesus' mighty name.
