FREEDOM IN SURRENDER

Believers come in surrender;

laying life down at Your Feet,

others are slaves to world systems;

hiding behind the veil of the elite.

 

                                                 They turn away their ears

                                                  from the surrender;

                                 unaware of the freedoms they forgo;

                                 placing all of their trust in worldliness

                                              and those advising them so.

 

But freedom is ours who know You Lord;

we lay our lives down at Your Throne,

to be a bondservant of Christ is to know Truth;

serving the Lord; never alone.

 

                  To be free is to abide in discernment and

                        a keen eye spots the sly and the pretender.

               Oh Lord teach them freedom hidden in Your Wisdom

                   and reward them at the time of their surrender.

 

 

Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (NIV)
