Three Quick Easy Ways to Feel Better!

by Tonja Taylor
1/12/2021 / Health

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.--James 1:5, AMPC

These can help you feel better--and some, instantly, although it may take a few minutes or hours, depending on the current health of your body and soul.  But these will always help you, and they are easy to access and cost nothing!

1. Drink more good water! It has been proved, to myself and others, that instead of reaching for more caffeine or sugar, if we just discipline ourselves to drink a big glass (or two, or three!) of water, we will feel better! Why? Because our bodies are made up of at least 70% water, and water is vital for all the bodily functions. In addition, our brains need the right balance of water to work as they should. By the way, if you get a headache, drink a big glass or two or water before you pop a pill. It may be that you just needed more H2O!

2. Move your body and get more oxygen! It seems like sitting is rest, and sometimes that's right. But our bodies were designed to be in motion much of the day. Get up and move. Run in place; do jumping jacks. Take a quick short walk around your neighborhood. You don't have to spend money on equipment or the gym! Also, be sure and stick your head out the door a couple times or more every day; you need fresh air and it will help you be more alert.

3. Laugh! It has been proven that even some people who've had "terminal" illnesses were healed when they laughed enough; when they "set their minds on things above" and "rejoiced in the LORD always,"--or even when they just laughed at silly stuff!  If you can't find a funny movie or sitcom or clean standup show, you can find a funny article or book, or even ask your Heavenly Father to remind you of funny times. He will help you! By the way, the LORD has a delightfully divine sense of humor!

These times can be weird and trying. But God is our Rock. He is for and with us forever, so be sure and focus on Him and His Word at the beginning of the day, throughout the day, and before you go to sleep. He is the ultimate Help to feel better, and He gave me these practical things to share with you as well. He loves you and cares for you--forever!

Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. They lift Him up in books (P.O.W.E.R. Girl!; LEGACY; Visions of the King; Your Holy Health; more); presentations; service in church, community, and the world; and via the "River Rain Creative" (309 videos) and "POWERLight Learning" You Tube channels.
