FIRST LOVE

FIRST LOVE
 
Can you remember back when you met your "FIRST LOVE"?
The feelings you had for each other seemed to be coming down directly from Heaven up above!
 
When the two of you were apart you thought about each other 24/7!
You both felt like your relationship was a true "MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN"!
 
You talked to each other daily over the phone and/or face to face!
You always treated each other with kisses of affection and with kindness and grace!
 
You would both hold hands and enjoy every step that you took as you walked "TOGETHER"!
Your "LOVE" was so "GREAT" for each other that it could not be "MEASURED"!
 
You were like unto two hearts that had now become "ONE"!
When you were not together you felt like something was amiss and truly "UNDONE"!
 
Then one of you began to let the relationship slip away for one reason or another!
Until it got to a point of no return from which it could not "RECOVER"!
 
That sadly to say is the very plight of many Christians who have been "BORN AGAIN"!
They start out loving "GOD" with all of their heart, soul, and mind because He saved them from their Sin!
 
They walked with God hand in hand being totally devoted to each other for many, many, years!
Then one destroys the relationship by allowing their wilful sin to cause God to "GRIEVE" over them with many tears!
 
How about you today on that path you trod?
Has your love and devotion begun to wax cold for "THE ONE" that you call your "GOD"?
 
If so, "RUN QUICKLY" back to Jesus in repentance and cling tightly to that "OLD RUGGED CROSS"!
Return to your "FIRST LOVE" for God or you will be in "DANGER" of becoming eternally lost!

and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
 
Revelation 2:4
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen. and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
