One Way to Truly Worship God

²⁴ God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”--John 4:24, AMPC

How do we worship God 'in spirit and truth"? By being sincere; by really  revering and honoring Him and His goodness; all thing things He is and has done for us, in our hearts! His Spirit has to help us do that, but when we desire to truly worship Him, He always helps us, and receives our true worship.

Here is an easy way to truly worship the LORD: Start thanking Him out loud for the good things in your life! 

"Thank You, LORD, for a good night's sleep in peace and safety and comfort," I've learned to tell the LORD upon waking. 

About midnight, which is rare for me any more, I had a nightmare of an evil man shooting at me, and trying to prevent me from going to my destination. I woke, and kept seeing the man and the situation.

I started thanking the LORD that He was with me; that His Holy Spirit and holy angels watch over me 24/7, and that I'm protected. I thanked Him that I have authority over in the enemy, and over every tormenting spirit, in and through the Name of Jesus. 

Thank Him that you have breath, and food, and shelter. Thank Him for your spouse, your children, your other loved ones. Thank Him for your Bible-believing church, and your church family. Thank Him for the fact that you can read and write. 

Thank Him for the freedom to have and read and live the priceless Word of God! 

Thank Him for the internet, and the freedom and opportunity to hear good preaching and teaching, and true, anointed worship. 

Thank Him for the freedoms and benefits of your country.

Thank Him for anything else you can think of, for your life is full of good things! 

Thank Him for the power and freedom and privilege to pray to the living God, Who hears and answers, Who loves us with an everlasting love!

If you will start thanking the LORD every day, especially when you first wake up, then you will be worshiping the LORD.  You can also keep a thanksgiving journal, like I do, and write in it every day, or as often as possible. It will build your faith, and help you have more things to thank the LORD about; to worship Him with!
