Boiled Eggs for Breakfast!

by Tonja Taylor

And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.--Genesis 1:29, AMPC

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green vegetables and plants, I give you everything.--Genesis 9:3, AMPC

Yes, we were originally meant to eat plants, not meat. However, God is merciful, gracious, and good.

When Adam and Eve sinned, everything changed, and for the worse. In His mercy, Yahweh, the Covenant God, chose not to slay Adam and Eve when they committed treason against Him, but instead, slew an animal.

He allows us to eat animals, and even animals eat each other.

It's pretty gross, if you think about it.

The Jews had strict rules about their diet, and of course it was best for them, for that is always Adonai's intent. There is no darkness in Him.

Anyway, He also says, in His graciousness and mercy, that we can eat even meat with thanksgiving. It is now permissible--although not everything we eat is profitable.

We need the Holy Spirit to help us choose, and He has certainly helped me make major changes (albeit, little by little, so they would stick!) in my diet, and I am so glad!

I am much healthier now than I was growing up. I attribute that first to believing what God says in His Word about health and healing, and living according to His Word. Then I know that He has also answered my prayers to desire and to eat and drink much healthier, to His glory.

He is faithful!

So, one of the things He has shown my husband and I to eat is organic (grass-fed; no hormones nor antibiotics in the chicken feed!) eggs, especially boiled. They are very nutritious, even delicious (especially with salt and pepper), and convenient!

You can boil several and peel them ahead of time, and they'll keep for at least a week in the refrigerator.

Even if you eat nothing else for breakfast, this is a good choice, and you don't have to stop at one. :)

Here's a bonus: Just for reading to the end, I'll share another good choice: fruit jerky! No mess, lots of nutrition, and worth the investment. Just be sure and get organic, to avoid lots of presevatives (which you don't want in your body). Better yet, you can dry your own!

Go for it, and the LORD Who cares about every detail of your life will help you!

Through books, presentations, service, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R. GIRL ADVENTURES, is now out (books I-V), along with LEGACY; YOUR HOLY HEALTH: VISIONS OF THE KING, and more. See the "River Rain Creative" and POWERLight Learning YT channel.
