THE WORSHIP OF IDOLS

An idol is "ANYTHING" that is more important to you than God!

The Bible backs this concept up and calls it "IDOLATRY" though you may deem that odd!

A TRUE CHRISTIAN gives God first place in their heart and puts "NO" idols before Him!

The unsaved are just the opposite, and without repentance, their chances of going to Heaven are pretty "SLIM"!

One's "IDOL" may be their obsession to take their boat out every Sunday morning!

They skip Church to catch fish in spite of the word of God and it's many "WARNINGS"!

For another their "IDOL" may be running from store to store on repeated shopping sprees!

Forsaking Church services on Sundays to do whatever they please!

Another's "IDOL" may be their love of "MONEY" always trying to make a "FEW EXTRA BUCKS" on the side!

To others their "IDOL" may be their obsession with Fame, Popularity and Walking in Pride"!

As we see America falling apart at the seams, one would think we would abandon our idols to make God #1 within our heart and home!

Getting our families to seek God, asking him to please fix all the things in our nation that have gone wrong!

Many make an idol of their T.V. spending hours viewing immorality, porno, murder, rape, and other evil crimes!

Some professing Christians are doing this too, yet when it comes to Prayer and Bible reading they say: "I DON'T HAVE TIME"!

On Sunday mornings many are out at places like the beach, lake, gym, golf-course etc, worshipping their idols and other things!

Putting Church at the "BOTTOM" of their list of priorities, and "IGNORING" Jesus the MIGHTY KING of kings!

When we "MAKE LIGHT OF" Jesus Christ being "CRUCIFIED" to save our unworthy souls!

We can be "SURE" that our name will "NEVER" appear on "HEAVEN'S ROLL"!

It's appointed unto man once to die, but after that "THE JUDGEMENT" the Bible does clearly tell!

When you put your "IDOLS" before God do you really think you will be able to get out of being cast into Hell?

Biblical definition of:

IDOL: an idol is “anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, and anything that you seek to give you what only God can give.”

Essentially, an idol can be anything that takes the place of God as the most important focus and priority in our life.

Titus 1:16

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17

Matthew 22:1-7 KJV... "make light of" is made clear in the parable of the wedding feast!

Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols. Ezekiel 20:16
