Who Is God's Anointed?

by Jim McIver
11/16/2007 / Leadership

I have been in the ministry preaching Christ for quite some time now and it is with much disappointment as I look upon the many (The "many" that I am referring to also include singers, musicians, deacons and youth leaders) who have disguised themselves as ministers of the gospel. I say disguise because the ones I am referring to, look good on the outside, like whited sepulchers, but inwardly they are raving wolves, full of dead men bones.

The ones that I am referring to have violated everything that is righteousness, holy or sacred.

During thirty-five years (35) of ministry I have personally known of ministers who were God called, God chosen, God anointed and are doing a great work, leading the Church and advancing the kingdom of God. You would think that there are tens of thousands of these mighty men and women of God around who are living holy and preaching the unadulterated word of God, but not so. The numbers are few.

During my tenure as a minister of Christ, I have rubbed shoulders with Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers, Deacons, Musicians, Singers and everything in between who were as vile as anything that has ever come down the pike. Silence is no longer an option. The covers must be pulled, the trumpet must be sounded and the truth must be told concerning those who pollute and bring shame to the ministry of Jesus Christ. Too many of God's people are being led down a path that is void of the Holy Spirit, lacking in illuminating truth, and only satisfies the appetite of these power hungry, success hungry, money hungry ministers. Leaders of this sort are many and can be bought for about a dime a dozen.

I fully understand that the message of this book will not make me popular among many of my peers. I'm okay with that. Restoring holiness, right living and sanity to the ministry is the goal of this book. Gaining popularity is not my interest. Over thirty years ago, I got out of the popularity business and began to declare the full counsel of God. Since then the Anointing has been sweeter, the illumination has been greater and it is easier to live with God and with myself.

If at this point or at any other point while you are reading this book, you are bothered by it's contents, I confess to you; it is without apology that these writing are published. I warn you: if you read on, you will be exposed to and confronted with correction, reproof and rebuke. You will also be exposed to the truth of how to be a true minister of Christ and how to make full proof of your ministry.

Therefore, if you continue, you will be reading at your own risk!
