DISTRIBUTION OF SPIRITUAL MANTLES

*TOPIC: DISTRIBUTION OF SPIRITUAL MANTLES*

Distribution of spiritual mantles of different kinds has been going on on earth for long.

And as we draw gradually to the end of the age, this distribution as well as knowledge of mantles will increase.

Recently, God has been drawing our attention greatly in our ministry to mantles.

*ELIJAH VS ELISHA*

1 Kings 19:19 KJV
So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and *ELIJAH PASSED BY HIM, AND CAST HIS MANTLE UPON HIM.*

1 Kings 19:19 NLT
... *ELIJAH WENT OVER TO HIM AND THREW HIS CLOAK ACROSS HIS SHOULDERS AND WALKED AWAY AGAIN.*

In this verse above, Elijah threw his mantle around Elisha as a sign of call to service.

2 Kings 2:13 KJV
*He took up also the MANTLE OF ELIJAH that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;*

Later on, as Elijah went up into heaven, Elisha picked up the mantle that fell from him as a sign of empowerment for service.

So, we see that the mantle of God's call later became the mantle of God's power!

*TYPES OF MANTLE*

*1. SPLIT & UNSPLIT MANTLES*

1 Kings 11:29-32 KJV
And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field: *[30] And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in TWELVE PIECES:* [31] And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord , the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee: [32] (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)

Prophet Ahijah splitting or rending Jeroboam's garment into 12 pieces was a symbolic prophetic action.

God can split one mantle into two or more for good reasons while he leaves another mantle unsplit.

For example, according to Isaac Eze, a strong prophetic voice, God split Benson Idahosa's apostolic mantle into 3 parts while he split Daniel Orekoya's prophetic mantle into 12 parts.

He explained that God raised Joseph Ayo Babalola and S. G. Elton to provide spiritual leadership over Nigeria.

Then, he combined both of them in Benson Idahosa, whose mantle was split into three for three different ministers.

He also said that God raised Daniel Orekoya as a prophet to be mentored by Babalola, but he died prematurely.

In the profound article titled: *"THE ISSUE OF THE APOSTOLIC MANTLE OVER NIGERIA!!,"* the Lord gave Eze this prophetic words about Orekoya's prophetic mantle over Nigeria:

*“The prophetic mantle of Nigeria is as new wine. The time I have to accomplish My work is too short to raise a vessel that can carry this mantle with every ingredient I have used in brewing it without self-destruction.*

*"Therefore I am parting the mantle into twelve pieces of different textures to accomplish My work in Nigeria. Between 2015 and 2018, I will raise Me twelve prophets from your nation that I will give My prophetic garment (Dt.18:18-19). I will pattern them after My throne, and three will be raised on the East, on the South, on the West and in the North (Rv.4:1-11; Num.10:5-28). They will be My Prophetic Company (2Kngs.2:5a) in Nigeria, twelve in number that I will use to shake the kingdom of darkness in Nigeria and beyond."*

[I can tell you categorically that anointing can destroy its carrier very quickly if care is not taken. The greater or stronger your anointing, the more dangerous it is, and the faster it can destroy you. Ask Samson, and so on. That's why if you want to last long carrying God's anointing to your generation, then work greatly and deeply on your character or lifestyle.]

Some time ago, I saw the mantle reserved for two saints.

It was a blue sweater with blue and white stripes in front.

A message followed that the mantle was meant for a particular young prophetic minister and someone else.

I only know one of them. The other person was not revealed to me.

How on earth could a single piece of clothing or mantle be for two different ministers?

I know God can split it into two or make the same mantle become two supernaturally — of the same or different textures.

*2. HIJACKED & SECURE MANTLES*

Revelation 3:11 KJV
Behold, I come quickly: *HOLD THAT FAST WHICH THOU HAST, THAT NO MAN TAKE THY CROWN.*

We need to be careful lest anyone should take our crown.

Similarly, we need to be careful lest anyone should take our mantle, too.

You see, just as the Prince of Persia detained the angel of the Lord sent to Daniel, demons and demonic ministers as well as demonized ministers of God can seize, manipulate or hijack the mantles meant for some particular saints if care is not taken.

A world renowned false prophet was supposedly stealing or hijacking the apostolic mantle over Nigeria before judgment came upon him.

At another time, God revealed to my wife that the prophetic mantle of a renowned prophet of God was being used by two false prophets probably because the man of God had derailed.

(I pray God will help him and every one of God's saints whose mantles have been hijacked, manipulated or stolen to recover all in Jesus' name.)

You need to secure your mantle by following God's Word and God's Spirit for they will never lead you into regret.

*3. UNCLAIMED & CLAIMED MANTLES*

Ephesians 1:3 AMP
*May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST (THE MESSIAH) WHO HAS BLESSED US IN CHRIST WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL (GIVEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT) BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY REALM!*

Ephesians 1:3 BBE
*Praise be to the GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO HAS GIVEN US EVERY BLESSING OF THE SPIRIT IN THE HEAVENS IN CHRIST:*

It's one thing for God to allot to you or reserve for you a blessing, but it's another thing for you to appropriate or claim the blessing.

Sadly, a number of saints have blessings assigned them by God, but which are never claimed due to lack of knowledge, understanding and/or wisdom.

Isaiah 5:13 AMPC
*Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it and because they have no knowledge [of God]. And their honorable men [their glory] are famished, and their common people are parched with thirst.*

Steven Brooks said he had been praying for two years about mantle, then got discouraged because he didn't get any mantle.

But, one night, in a prophetic experience, he saw two demons protecting some things in a valley-like place.

Then two angels flew from behind him over his shoulder to chase those demons away.

Immediately, he ran over there and saw a stack of clothes, caps and belts.

And God spoke to him that they were unclaimed mantles!

Evidently, they were used by departed saints.

He explained that they were unclaimed perhaps because nobody was qualified to receive some of them or no one has paid the needed price to get some of them (paraphrased)!

So, he had a knowing that the mantle reserved for him was hidden inside the stack.

Without delay, he dipped his hand into the stack and brought out a blue sweater and put it on.

Then God spoke to him that it belonged to a prophet that lived many years ago. And he gave him the name of the prophet.

So, in the natural, he went to study the story of that prophet.

Two weeks later, he began to have the type of prophetic experiences which that particular prophet used to have when he was alive.

Have you claimed your mantle(s)?

Do you even know whether God has a mantle or mantles for you or not?

*4. STRANGE & UNSTRANGE MANTLES*

Zephaniah 1:8 KJV
And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord's sacrifice, that I will *PUNISH* the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with *STRANGE APPAREL.*

If you associate with Satan and his ministers, you may end up with a strange mantle or apparel!

It's been said that if one lies down with a dog, he may get up with ticks.

There is no doubt that we have strange or false apostolic mantles, prophetic mantles, evangelistic mantles, pastoral mantles, teaching mantles, miracle mantles, healing mantles, prayer mantles, drama mantles, singing mantles, music mantles, and so on.

And God revealed in this verse above that he would punish all those clothed in strange apparel (or false mantle).

Friend, judgment is coming!

Hebrews 10:30-31 KJV
*For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.*

1 Peter 4:17-18 KJV
*For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? [18] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?*

But, thank God there are genuine (unstrange) or true apostolic mantles, prophetic mantles, evangelistic mantles, pastoral mantles, teaching mantles, miracle mantles, healing mantles, prayer mantles, drama mantles, singing mantles, music mantles, and so on.

*5. INHERITED & UNINHERITED MANTLES*

Everyone with God's specific anointing for ministry has his own God-given mantle which is uninherited.

In addition, if God deems it fit to cause him to inherit one or more mantles of departed saints, then he would make provision for him.

[It actually works by predestination and as the need arises.]

For example, Elisha had his own mantle, then he inherited Elijah's mantle.

My wife and I have had some wonderful experiences about mantles we inherited from departed saints apart from our own respective uninherited mantles.

But, I do not have the liberty of the Spirit yet to talk about our encounters along this line.

Matthew 17:9 KJV
And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, *Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.*

Just as Jesus warned Peter, James and John to tell the vision about Elijah and Moses visiting Him to nobody until after his resurrection, I cannot share those things now until the time is ripe!

Ecclesiastes 3:1,7 KJV
*To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [7] ... a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;*

*6. SECULAR & NONSECULAR MANTLES*

Romans 12:6-8 KJV
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; [7] Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; [8] Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; *HE THAT RULETH, WITH DILIGENCE;* he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

*HE THAT RULETH, WITH DILIGENCE;* in verse 8 above speaks of nonsecular and secular rulership or leadership as a result of God's grace.

So, God can anoint a king, politician, economist, deacon or bishop for leadership.

Recently, in a prophetic night vision, I saw a mantle coloured like magenta. It was for a past United States president — Thomas Jefferson.

But, it was reserved for a young minister that I know.

So, I told him about what I had seen.

I believe it's most likely a secular mantle for a strong leadership task ahead of him whether political or not!

Friend, God is giving out both secular and nonsecular mantles.

While apostolic mantles, prophetic mantles, evangelistic mantles, pastoral mantles, teaching mantles, and so on are nonsecular mantles, a king's mantle, a politician's mantle, an economist's mantle, and so on are secular mantles.

*7. ACTIVATED & UNACTIVATED MANTLES*

2 Timothy 1:6 KJV
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou *STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD,* which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

It's one thing to receive God's gift, but it's another to activate or stir it up.

That God has given you a mantle does not mean it's automatically activated.

You have to consecrate yourself and obey God to get it activated!

And it takes faith and patience.

Hebrews 6:12 NIV
*We do not want you to become LAZY, but to imitate those who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit what has been promised.*

Hebrews 6:12 AMP
*In order that you may not grow DISINTERESTED and become [spiritual] SLUGGARDS, but imitators, behaving as do those who through FAITH (BY THEIR LEANING OF THE ENTIRE PERSONALITY ON GOD IN CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE TRUST AND CONFIDENCE IN HIS POWER, WISDOM, AND GOODNESS) and by PRACTICE OF PATIENT ENDURANCE and WAITING are [now] inheriting the promises.*

Father in Jesus' name, according to Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV): *Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not,* I call unto you today asking you to show me and release unto me all the mantles you have reserved for me.

I command all demons hindering me from receiving my mantles to stop in their evil operations in Jesus' name.

Holy Father, send your holy angels to bring my mantles to me without further delay in Jesus' name.
