One Way to Take Your Writing to the Next Level

by Tonja Taylor
8/07/2023 / Writing

You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.--Psalm 16:11, Berean Study Bible

A couple years ago or more, I discovered that, even with the audio up loud, I could get into a very productive writing flow and get a lot done!

Another exciting thing about partnering with the Spirit of the LORD to create His written works so that the readers would know Him, and more about how good and awesome He is, is how the most interesting scenes (that I had not planned ahead of time, although I'd planned many), and also how the LORD would take the little I'd started with, and flow through me--as I typed--intriguing developments in the plot!

Truly, it is a glorious honor and sublime satisfaction to yield to the Holy One, the Spirit within, to allow Him to write His glory through us!

However, not just any loud audio would do--it has to be Bible-based preaching or true worship, because the Spirit of the LORD inhabits His praise and is infused in His Word. He is the Author!

The LORD is always with us, and when we focus on Him, when we cultivate His Presence by honoring His Word, speaking it, and/or praying, and/or worshiping and praising Him, then we better align our souls (minds, wills, emotions) with His Spirit, and control our flesh.

When His Presence is strong within and around us, then we can be more creative! He is Elohim, the Author of Life; the Writer within, Who knows all things, and is The Creator! Hallelujah!

We can yield to Him, and serve as His Matthew 13:52 (AMPC) scribes: And He said to them, "Because of this, every scribe having been discipled into the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a master of a house, who puts forth out of his treasure new and old."

To start with, you can keep Bible-based teaching and true worship playing in the background, very low. You may be able to turn up the volume, as I can do often, so that it does not interfere with the flow of creativity, but enhances it.

It's a really cool thing! Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom--and, as Joshua Mills says, Creative Glory! Hallelujah!

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).--2 Corinthians 3:17, AMPC

So turn it up--the Bible-based preaching and worship, and your writing!

Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. They lift Him up in books (P.O.W.E.R. Girl!; LEGACY; Visions of the King; Your Holy Health; more); presentations; service in church, community, and the world; and via the "River Rain Creative" (309 videos) and "POWERLight Learning" You Tube channels.
