KING JESUS

King Jesus fix Your Reins to my abode,

Steer my home as You Will

For You alone do I bow;

Your Love is my constant thrill.

 

OH let me sing it to the stars!

right and left above the dew,

where meek yet bold is the worship

that wells up within me over YOU!

 

Sorrow too heavy to imagine over the loss of You,

My God, my life, my King,

My heart ever rehearsing,

All those old hymns I used to sing.

 

Therefore, I pray never will You release me,

back to the pit from whence I came,

a time when all I really longed for

was my own exaltation,

and yes,

even fame…..

 

of which I am now ashamed,

even above the noise,

meekly claiming unworthiness,

even to gleam an ounce of your poise.

 

King Jesus fix Your Reins to my abode,
