Hold Me Steadfast

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - Psalm 18:2, KJV

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. - Luke 22:32, KJV

Jesus Christ, Yahweh Tsuri, is our Rock. Forever He is faithful; never changing! He helps us be the "rock" to others when they are wavering.  I wrote this poem over 25 years ago, about helping to strengthen others (which we can only truly do as the LORD Our Rock strengthens us!):

 

LORD,

when someone needs me,

help me not to run.

Hold me steadfast;

strenghthen me

with Wisdom and Compassion.

Work through me

to administer Your balm

to their pain.
