To Dad On His Birthday (More or Less!)

It's obvious, it's plain to see,

That you enjoy retirement.

And now that you from work are free,

You'll find your days are time well spent. 

 

If you are at the house or farm,

We know that you are wishin'

You had a good rod on your arm,

And with it you were fishin'.

 

(It doesn't matter what their size,

Or even if you cook 'em,

As long as from the lake fish rise,

And you can somehow hook 'em!)
