We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. - Romans 6:9-11, NLT
Are you alive--really alive?
Or are you just existing?
Remember the movies with "zombies"--walking dead people? They were moving, and they may have had a type of soul (mind/will/emotion), but they surely had no heart--which is the true and eternal part of a person.
Unfortunately, there are millions (billions?) of "zombies" walking the planet today.
They don't know Christ Jesus as Savior and LORD. Even in chuches, there are many whom have never truly been born again.
They are merely existing.
They are walking dead men.
Christ Jesus is the Spirit of Life Who redeemed us by His blood shed at the cross, from the curse of the law; Who freed and delivered us from the devil, death, hell, and the grave forever!
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. - Romans 5:6, NLT
Hallelujah!
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. - Romans 8:2, NLT
Sometimes, of course, we can get into ruts and routines in life, and feel like we are zombies. However, if we have truly believed in our hearts that Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross to pay for all our sins, and rose again on the third day, and ever lives in Heaven now at the right hand of the Father; if we have confessed Jesus as our Savior and LORD from our mouths, then Christ came into our hearts.
If we feel far away from Him, we can fix that; we can draw near to Him. His Spirit lives in our hearts, when we truly received Him, and by cultivating a daily relationship with Him, we can learn to sense, to "feel" His nearness.
When we sense His Presence, He quickens us--makes us more "alive"; we "feel" Him.
Truly, it is only His Spirit in us that makes us alive. When our bodies die, our spirits will separate from our bodies, and, if we have repented of our sins and received Christ Jesus as our Savior and LORD, we will be spared from hell, and will go to eternal Paradise on earth, and be with our LORD and the Father God, and the others of the Family of God, who have truly been born again--forever!
Hallelujah!
He is right here, waiting for you to invite Him into your life--for the first time, or to draw closer, and get to know Him Who loves you so much, He died and rose again for you!
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.--John 3:16-18, NLT
