ANOTHER DAY CLOSER TO THE RAPTURE, Study 2Corinthians 4:16

by linzy bruno
7/13/2024 / Prophecy

Given the current social climate, it’s easy to get discouraged. It’s safe to say that never before has the world seen such a turbulent time. Therefore, it stands to reason that this world is seeing an increasing number of depressed Christians. But, then again, with wickedness winning battle after battle over good and the whole world falling under the spell of Satan, that good is bad and bad is good:

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)

Given what we are seeing: everything from gender confusion to letting prisons off without traditional punishment, to the wicked fight to mask abortion as healthcare, how can Christians fight against becoming depressed? Prices are so high that many of us are facing financial problems like never before, there is an ominous threat over all of us that food shortages are coming that will lead to worldwide famine. The remedy is clearly Christ Jesus in us. For, not only do we press on in Him, as Christians have for centuries, the paradise in which Heaven promises has never been as near as it is today, although not as close as it will be tomorrow.

We learn this quite plainly through the study of Eschatology. We can see our redemption, that is of the spirit, soul and body, but the body in particular, drawing nearer by the day, which is why we do not need to become discouraged when we see signs of the powerful elites pursuing their most evil goal of all, worldwide depopulation. Listen to what one brave whistleblower has to say:

But, even while so many horrible things are going on and worsening by the day, we who are in Christ are getting closer to Heaven every day, and what could be more encouraging!

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” (2Corinthians 4:16)

Through this eye-opening Scripture, Paul declares we are ‘renewed’ day by day. That implies continual improvements can go onward despite the condition of the world in our spirit-man or woman. And inasmuch as Christianity is all about our relationship with God through Christ, and considering that all relationships grow in intimacy and perfection, we are assured of this in our relationship with God, as we press on in Christ.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8a)

Over time we grow closer to Him, and what comes with that is a deeper sense of peace and contentment and a more secure foundation, and these things are far more profitable than perfect health, wealth or anything else those who are of the world pursue. See 1Thessalonians 4:18.

Moreover, we have the privilege of enjoying an ever deepening relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, not to mention the support of those brethren who are there for us in our time of need. And, we also get to enjoy seeing the spiritual fruits of our labor grow exponentially, despite the condition of the world. For the condition of the society in which we live cannot hinder our God.

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.“ (Romans 13:11)

For those of us who believe, every day brings us closer to God and to our citizenship in Heaven:

“But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,” (2Timothy 3:13-14)

Furthermore, when we are in Heaven, our praise will come from God, yet another wondrous thing in which to look forward to; bringing comfort, peace and joyous anticipation:

“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring light to the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.” (1Corinthians 4:5)

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

for in Him we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17:28a)

What will ultimately develop in the spirit realm has already begun. We are either already dead or already alive:

“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:6)

“And if Christ  is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:10-11)

Every day we who are in Christ inch a little closer to Heaven. Furthermore, it is within biblical reason to say that our earthly life is our training ground for our careers in Heaven:

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)
