A True Encounter 1

"[6]Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my land about your words and your wisdom.
[7]However, I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes, and indeed the half was not told to me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard." 1 Kings 10.

The above are the words of the Queen of Sheba who visited the wisest king of the time, King Solomon of Israel.

She made a true confession. She heard about his words and wisdom but found them too difficult to believe. She could only fathom falsehood or exaggeration in them.

To find out the truth, she embarked on a long journey to seek the truth about what she had been told.

When she saw things and heard words from the source for herself, she believed. She dispelled the wrong notion she had carried about for a long time.

Beloved, do you know that there are people around you who are like this wealthy woman who have heard about the Lord that you are serving faithfully but find it too difficult to believe in Him? It may be you that the Lord wants to use to reconcile them to Him when they hear the truth from you with your testimonies accompanying it.

Such people may have claimed to have their religion that says something about the Savior, Jesus Christ but know a little bit about Him. They may have come across false brethren whose ways of life never witness for Christ. You can be used by God to change their opinions to embrace the Gospel.

Do not keep quiet. Please, speak to them. Tell them the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. He is more than all that they have heard about Him.

May the Lord grant you the right words of truth that will draw people of God to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. May the Lord also show wonders in their lives so that they will have testimonies of the Lord's goodness in Jesus' mighty name.
