A Part Of God?s Story

God is writing out His story
In my life, ev’ry day;
Filled with many joys and sorrows,
As I journey on this way.

God knows how my story began,
And the ending, though unseen;
Yes, He knows each up and down,
And ev’ry twist in between.

I cannot see so very far,
And wonder what will come next.
But my God knows, and walks with me,
Whether in joy, or fierce test.

When I only look at what’s now,
And forget He ‘holds the pen’,
I can become so discouraged;
And e’en doubt Him, now and then.

God’s story is made beautiful
As I surrender my all,
And choose to trust Him completely,
No matter what may befall.

And as I trust, and walk with God,
I can oft’ begin to see
Glimpses of my God’s purposes,
And His great, great love for me!

I can find God’s sweet peace and rest,
When I leave it all to Him;
I know He sees, hears, and knows all,
Though my eyesight may be dim.

Oh, the things that I am facing
Are but part of God’s story!
Someday, ‘I’ll read the last chapter’,
And give Him all the glory!

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
