Prayer Plus (Part 7)

"So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20.

Certain people can shout loudng prayer, personal or corporate. Not only this, but many people are gifted to pray for long hours. Sadly, many of them do not have the required answers to their prayers as at n due.

Generally speaking, they look well as someone who deserves a sure and quick answer but it was not to be.

The main ingredient to any answered prayer is lacking, many times. What can this be? It is "belief". The Scriptures are full of words, phrases, and sentences that prove that believing or having faith is a strong factor in getting answers to prayers. This ingredient is one but can be divided into two parts:

First part, The king of Judah, Jehoshaphat, taught his people this at a time that mattered most. He taught them to believe in the Lord their God. The sole personality who fails and can meet all the needs of His people at any time. His tutorial remains, "Belief in God." He knows the importance of faith. Will it not be foolishness to approach someone for help when you do not believe in him to render the help?

This is the position of many people who pray, male or female. They pray but they do not believe in God. Is this right?

Apostle Paul corroborates when he declares in the Book of Hebrews in Chapter eleven in verse six that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

The second part has to do with God's representatives, His servants (Prophets). God does wonderful things through His Servants, the Prophets, and other Ministers of God He has commissioned. He hears the prayer of His people, through His servants. He does nothing without His servants knowing about it. He channels His blessings through them to His people. The Scriptures disclose that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Psalm 25:14.

Failure to believe in the majesty of God might be the reason why you don't receive answers to your prayers.
