Of The Body Small

I am just a little toe of the body of Christ
When God ordained my position He was very precise.

My position is much lower than an arm or leg or hand
But I am where God wants me and that is really grand!

My position is far away from that of my pastoral head
No Leadership worries when I lie down in bed.

I function outside the SPOTLIGHT, I am seldom seen
Yet I am an important member of God's Holy Team.

I can even influence things up at the Devine Head
With my prayers during the day and at night before bed.

No matter how the bread is buttered, cut or sliced
I am an important part of The Body of Christ.

I work with the many other different members within
To spread the gospel of Christ to those lost in sin.

Do not discount the little toes, We are part of God's feet
Without us The Body of Christ could never stand complete.
