We bundled up; we braved frigid temperatures and set out on a trip to the Erie Canal. Ice skating is not at the top of my list of accomplishments; yet, it does trigger emotions in my master memory files. Wobbly knees, weak ankles and all, I joined siblings, cousins, friends and beaus. The "Ice Capades" celebrities were in no danger of me stealing their jobs or taking their bows.
