Stoke the Fires

It is hard to transition from heat warning advisories of our Deep South summer to the coming onset of winter. True, autumn only recently had its red-letter day on calendars but that can be misleading.

In many instances, frigid winter weather arrives long before our calendars make it official. Locally, residents have already had a brief taste of north winds and jackets weather. We needed both our heater and ac during the same 24-hour period.

Stoke the fires!
